Saw the show tonight, kinda tame, no root.
They resolved the reese situation in a good way , liked how they did that.
the nerd kid was good.
Hersch asking shaw if her job was better, was funny.
The machine gave reese a job even though he didnt want one.

Bad news....... show has another hiatus till feb 4th !!

yeah reese is on airplane only the machine I believe guided him to the wrong filght.
At least not the filght reese wanted , but the machine had other plans for him.

Really it put him in a do or die situation. He had to do his job as the machine sees it or let others die in front of him an possibly die himself.
Now the only thing I did not get was the bad guy at end put on the parachute, and I thought he was going to put plane in a slow dive, and then bail out.
but instead it looked like he was just going to land the plane?????? why the chute then?
Plus they implied the plane might be taken out as a whole.

I watched it live and missed a few things so really need to watch again.
Also I liked the airline stewardess, I thought she might be bad and undercover, a late twist, but she wasnt.
Be nice to see her maybe need help in a later episode.

Seriously, I totally love this show. What a fine episode again. Reese is just awesome, as is Shaw. I can't wait to see Shaw and Reese working as a team again, so this next hiatus of another three weeks is cruel ...
What I wonder a bit ... is the Machine's judgement kind of clouded now? I simply let's Control and Hersh (who of course was not killed in the explosion caused by that Vigilance guy last ep) go back to business as usual (as long as they are not attacking the Machine or its "agents" directly)? That's especially problematic now that we know that they had their share of money from that online black drug market. And now that it was busted they just wanted to kill that Sphinx nerd kid to get rid of any witness of their dirty involvement. So this was not a relevant number from the Machine for Control, they were acting on their own criminal goals here. So the Machine needs Reese to prevent that from happening. I've had the impression quite some time, but now it's pretty clear. Control is indeed something like Nikita's Division. A very special and secret agency, originally created by the government pretending to do this for the greater good, but then somewhere on the way gotten out of control and doing whatever they want, even involved in regular crimes to just make money (hello Percy!). It also makes sense now, why in last ep the Control bitch insisted that the Machine "belongs to her". Not the government's, no, but "hers"!
Kind of obvious also the relevance to our actual real life political situation. If you don't figure it out how to somehow contain the NSA's surveillance state soon, it will get really nasty. Yet fictional organisations like "Division" or "Control" might soon become way more real thay we ever would have thought by now ...

He indeed wanted the whole plane to go down and the Machine even calculated the crash flight path already, so that assassin actually needed the chute.
But finally Finch hacked the plane and remotely managed to land the plane savely. What might have been confusing here, was the fact that the assassin started the crash with a relatively moderate steering command. But this would have led to a rapidly increasing nose dive and finally to the crash of the plane ...

I totally agree with that stewardess. She was a very nice character and I'd love to see her guest starring again.

yeAh but the guy was still in the pilot seat as the were just above the runway, you cant jump out that low, you need at least 5000 feet preferably 10000 to use a chute, but they were only about 1000 feet, and he wasnt trying to get out when reese came in. so I think they messed up on that.
Reese should have caught him as he was going to jump.

And also harold had a plane control that he could plug up in seconds??????????
I thought he would get a joy stick, but no he had airplane controls ! I started laughing when I saw that.
