No, they explicitely finished the season with Luke ending up at Wall Street and Laurel following him ... and another bug queen survived ... So if there's a second season (sadly, sadly chances are near zero considering the ratings), Laurel and Luke and probably Gustave and Rochelle will return.

ok but at least if not then this was mostly ended well. If they make a S2 I would watch if those 4 are in it again. Or at least mary.

I finally watched ep 12, it was good, but the one corny thing was senator was ill, with his queen hurt, then when the woman and him fight, and the 2 queens fight, his queen wins??? or did he take her queen?? Afterwards he was ok , so I think maybe he traded queens?

What? You left out ep 12? Why? His bug queen killed the woman's one. Obviously this success was meant to give his queen and himself new strength.
