Frequency - Season 1 General Discussion

New show on CW comes on wed @ 8 pm central  right after arrow, which to me is a horrible lead in, few watching arrow
would be into this type of show. Flash would have been the better show to follow.

anyway didnt think I would like this, I did see the movie twice, it was ok.

But I watched it and it was really good, well done, and it looks like they will keep changing her future.
She wound up saving her dad, but then her mother  winds up getting killed by a serial killer lol.

So have no idea where they are going with this, but S1 should be fun.

Frequency (The CW) – P 0.4_ 1.35

ok again good show, but starting out 0.4 wow, knew arrow was not a good lead-in
arrow was low too at .07_1.87

The 0.4 means this show wont get a S2 I need to check and see if it is cbs show,
hopefully it is.
Again the 1.35 isnt bad but the demo will not be liked by CW.

Ok, yeah, I had not plan to watch this show, but well, after you had even made a thread, I thought why not just try the pilot ...
And I agree, it was far better and different that I would have expected ... it's a nice show, I'm in!
Obviously now Raimy is trying to save her mom too, but does that mean the other nurse has to die instead?? Or does she try to really change the past by trying to help to find the Nightinggale killer?
BTW, where do we know the actress playing Raimy from? Is she playing Captain Cold's sister in the Flash?

BTW, my time for a tip now.
Maybe you might like No Tomorrow on the CW. The pilot was fun to watch and it's what you would call a "cute show".
Oh, and they had some Whitesnake music, what was extra amazing!

That is a 60 min comedy, dont think I could get into that, I only rarely like a comedy.

this is more likely, but this may cause other changes.

Saw this live, need to rewatch something at end I didnt understand.
Seems they just cant get it right !
But I think this will be good to watch for S1.

ok thought this dropped alot, but just 1 pt demo.
only thing is SN and flash do 0.3 on reruns!

Too bad seems like a good show, but not enough saw the first one.
maybe it will hold at 0.3 or it may drop to .01 !
hope they air all 13.

After having also seen eps 1x02 and 1x03 I have to say that I like this show.
Will keep watching!

yeah I like it too, and this time pres debates, so maybe it goes up at some point !
0.3 is not good enough for them to renew unless it is a cbs show ,

it is serial, and no one watched the first one, or at least enough of the neilsen crowd.
I am going to check imdb, if low amount there, just no one watched it.

Funny these people like sci fi movies, but not sci fi tv shows ?

The imdb site is active and has 5 pages after 3 shows.
I will compare to westworld......... wow it has 69 pages !! lol
So guess this show is just not being watched by many.
I will compare to timeless..........17 pages on timeless.

Well, no wonder imho. It'a just a cute show to enjoy and fun to watch. I don't know what there would be much to discuss ...

Have just seen ep 1x04 and the show keeps on delivering.
It's suspenseful and interesting what changes they cause in the timeline.
Nice also how they just use a simple "drop box" to get that sketch drawing of the Nightingale murderer into the future.
And finally, the main actress who plays Raimy does an excellent job. Way better than what I've seen from her before like in Arrow.

yeah, the only thing I dont like is they made her a little too macho.

This last one he was with her as she was young cop so that was a little confusing to me.

1) Doesn't feel so to me ...

2) In the flashbacks about her rookie days as a cop they were jumping between the two timelines. First the original one, which only remains in Raimy's memory, when her father was framed by that dirty cop Moreno and got killed during his undercover mission. Raimy later became a cop and was mentored as a rookie by Moreno, whom she initially trusted, but noticed some strange behaviour and suspicious connections to that drug dealer, whose daughter got killed.
The other timeline is the new one, when she managed to save her father, but got her mother killed by the Nightingale murderer, what they still are trying to keep from happening. In this timeline she also became a cop, but her mentor as a rookie was her father, who was with her when they were called to the dead daughter of that drug dealer. Her father still died years later. So in the present she's on her own trying to convict Moreno, who seems to be a really dangerous dirty cop. But the worst, now even the black cop, who seems to be the boss of the precinct and also some kind of friend of the family, looks like he's in bed with Moreno somehow. Why else would Moreno call him to prevent Raimy from further investigating?

3) But their other main and imho even more pressing mission is still to save her mother from the Nightingale killer. There are only a few days left before it happens in her dads time back in 1996 (?).

But the worst, now even the black cop, who seems to be the boss of the precinct and also some kind of friend of the family, looks like he's in bed with Moreno..........yeah I have suspected him for awhile now.

Ep 1x06 was pretty good again.
Some nice points about the concept of time as a tree with branches.
To stop something from just happening on another branch, you just have to cut off the whole trunk ...
at least "crazy" (is he actually??) Karl says so ...

karl has been on SN for years, I like him as a actor and he fits that part.
I wonder if he really did create a machine .
his parts were the better parts of the ep to me.

and this vid shows they now know who the killer is for sure and they she wants to kill him?
what if he isnt the guy lol.

I dont think this show will be back for S2, wondering if it even finishes this season, need to look
at the ratings.

it is ok show, but sort of meh too.
The cops wife is totally unlikable the way they wrote her, so I dont really want to save her lol.

I basically like the show, so if they cancel, there will be only 4 eps left.
I hope they deliver a reasonable conclusion to the story.

Well, Megan was the victim of her stepfather, yes. But she wasn't murdered by him (...yet!), she was the victim of domestic violence, as were her brother and her mother, according to Megan. Then the stepfather forced her mother and brother to turn against her and made her look crazy, so nobody would believe her. Finally he faked the break and divorce with her mother and just claimed that she moved away. He even faked money transfers to make it look like she was still alive. But actually he had killed her mother, as we now learned in ep 1x09, and had bricked her corpse in a hidden room at his house. I think with the corpse of Megan's mother detected, the abduction of Megan and his attack on Raimy, when she surprised him during trying to remove the corpse, it's pretty sure that he's the Nightingale murderer. What also seems to confirm this, is the fact, that Megan's mother also was a nurse, so she would have probably been his first Nightingale victim.
There's one unknown factor left though ... Megan's brother, who also seems to have disappeared by now. Is he a victim too or was he helping his stepfather? Or is he the Nighingale and the stepfather was just trying to cover up the mess?
