Frequency - Season 1 General Discussion

There's one unknown factor left though ... Megan's brother, who also seems to have disappeared by now. Is he a victim too or was he helping his stepfather? Or is he the Nighingale and the stepfather was just trying to cover up the mess?........that is interesting, and could be the case.

Ok, so ep 1x10 was pretty good. Especially since the planned murder on the Deacon, who's suspected to be the Nightingale, was interrupted by that car accident (could it be a hit by Moreno or was it really because Frank wasn't paying enough attention while grabbing Raimy's clarinet??).
What a cliffhanger ....  
But by now I even think that the Deacon actually isn't the Nightingale. And Raimy shot him in cold blood in the present trusting that it wouldn't matter, because her father would have killed him in the past and there would be a different timeline then ... I guess she might be wrong now ...
Can't wait for the next ep ...

Ok, so with ep 1x11 they changed the timeline again. The Deacon wasn't shot by Raimy and Meghan's brother is actually alive!
BTW, it's kind of strange, how easily especially Raimy, but also Frank, are prepared to commit a murder for the "greater good" of saving Julie ... I mean, it's not even a 100% sure, that the Deacon is the Nightingale ... all we know definitely, is, that he killed his wife.

Wow, I didn't know that I'm actually that good ...

Episode 1x12 was pretty good and Raimy and Frank finally managed to save Julie ... but for how long?
Robbie, Meghan's brother, already has stalked Julie in 1996 and though his original plan to kill Julie might have not been carried out because of the unexpected arrest of the Deacon (his stepfather), he probably might still try later ... and Frank even brought him to his home!!!
Oh, and Raimy has really gone down a dark road ... after murdering the Deacon in cold blood in that other present timeline in ep 1x10 she now helped him to commit suicide despite he already was in prison ...
Can't wait for the S1 finale! (Or will it be a series finale?) ...

Wow, that was a damn great season finale with unexpected twists and turns!!!
I was on the edge of my seat every second untill the end and I'm actually positively surprised, how they pulled this off that nicely.
It suits well even as a series finale, but the last scene also leaves us with a cliffhanger, which opens all possibilities for a second season.
Seriously, this show with it's constant switches between the past and the present and the changes in the timeline needed a lot of attention to be able to follow the plot correctly, but it was worth it and the finale was definitely paying off!
Cool little show, which sadly never got the deserved attention regarding the poor ratings, but I'd love to see a second season now ... as tiny the chances might be!
So, The CW, if you can renew something like Crazy Ex-girlfriend and Jane the Virgin, then also do it for Frequency, please!

Hi, new here, a refugee from the IMDB forums looking for a good forum to talk about and find out info on TV Shows and Movies I am interested in. This Forum seems pretty good and I like the range of shows. One drawback though is I wish people would not post so many pictures within their postings. It slows down the loading and makes it harder to find the textual discussions.

On Frequency, we just binge watched the first season. Overall we liked it, although it's hard not to keep making comparisons with the movie, which is one of my all time fav's. Do we know yet if there will be a season 2? I hope so.

I don't know anything yet about a renewal of Frequency, there hasn't been anounced any official decision so far.
I'd like a second season, but in this case the first season was wrapped up pretty nicely, so I could live with that as a series finale as well. And the ratings were pretty low too, so the chances for a second season might sadly be pretty small ...
Speaking of the movie, I don't know it, so I just enjoyed and liked the series for itself without being able or tempted to compare it to the movie.

tscc, funny, I wonder if you now watched the movie, what you'd think. For me, besides the whole time dimension thing, it was a real positive father/son movie. A Father's Day favorite for me.

Actually you made me kind of curious and I'm considering to look for the movie. But may take a few weeks.

Netflix DVD (not streaming) or Amazon Video. Probably other places, Hulu or Vudu maybe. Or the cheap bin in Walmart.

The movie was good, I havent seen it in awhile though.

So just scroll down to the text, after that it is all text.

We find out about most shows in may whether they are renewed or canceled.
Tscc will post any news in that show thread.
This show has a chance at a 2nd season and so does Timeless, we just have to wait
until may to find out.

Sometimes it depends on how other shows that are airing now do on nbc and CW,
if they do bad, then it helps the chances of this one or timeless.

well at epguides.com they have it on the canceled list already.
it is early, but they must know, they only put shows canceled on the list.
I didnt know and when it wasnt in the current show list under F I looked at the
current canceled list.
With a .02 demo in S1 ,I figured it would be.
