I watched the carter vid and that was pretty good. wow 2!

Ok saw the show live tonight.
Very good show and next week we get a Root show!   
We got a backstory on shaw in this ep, at first I was wondering who the young girl was the fireman saved, and I didnt catch on till he told her her dad was asleep permanently, and she said she wanted a sandwich! lol so then I knew it was shaw.

The young russian girl was cool and it made a good story, that surprisingly tied in with HR.
All in all a good show, and I am excited about the next one. 
Hiding the cassette tapes in the phone booth was a little corny though.

Root kidnaps Shaw and forces her to work a mission with her that the machine has given root.

So ... I'm gonna watch ep 3x05 now ...  

- Aww ... poor Finch, Shaw doesn't want to have tea with him to get some lessons for her bedside manners ...

- The kid just made Shaw ...  
- Shaw: "What, Finch? You think I didn't bug your office?"

- Gen tipping Shaw's shoulder: "I thought you might be a robot." ... awesome!

- Ok, so now it's official (as suspected), Laskey is HR ... and then Carter takes away his new gun, because it's illegal ... he so looks like a little schoolboy ... LOL

- The chat between Gen and Shaw is great ... Shaw: "To be honest, I'm only in it for the dog."  

- Great intel about Shaw and her background. Shaw to Gen: "You know that thing that made you flinch? I don't get that. [...] don't get scared ... Or sad. Or happy or lonely. I do angry okay, but ... that's about it. Been this way as long as I can remember. I was, uh ... about your age ..., when I figured out I was different."
- "Read the labels, Harold ..." - "Gross"  

- Yeah, cool tie in of Gen's story with the HR plot!

- Oh damn, poor Shaw as a child, when her Dad died in that car accident ...

- Reese to Carter after that guy told them about HR's production of new synthetic drugs: "Relax, it's just corn syrup ..." :-)

- What the ...    Shaw gets herself just a little blood transfusion directly from the mobster as donor??   Relying on his statements that he has no dangerous diseases? Whoa ... Shaw!!!! She really is determined to save the girl ...

- Reese to Simmons: "Armies fall, one soldier at a time ..." Yes!

- Shaw: "Hey Finch, how much do know about chemistry?" Finch: "Enough ..." That smile of Finch   aaand ... Booooom!!!!!

- Wow, that was the badest ass Carter I ever have seen ... how she asked Laskey if he wanted "to play Billy Badass" and then using Laskey's gun to shot the corrupt cop Jerry in the bar ... finally telling Laskey that he's now not working for HR any longer, but for her ... what a fine scene!!

- Shaw having that good-bye talk with Gen (Shaw has feelings, they are there, but just turned down, one has just to listen more carefully ... what a nice way to explain it, Gen!) and finally hugging her (and how!!) ... absolutely great! And she really earned that Lenin medal!

- Despite disobeying Finch's orders and bugging Finch's location, Shaw finally got the job according to Finch!!

- And last but not least the cliffhanger for the next ep ... Root kidnaps Shaw ...   Root: "Did you miss me? We're gonna have so much fun together."
AWESOME!!
Remember, it was Shaw, who shot Root into the shoulder in the season 2 finale. She deliberately didn't kill her though, so Root should be nice to her!

Résumé of ep 3x05: Outstanding ep, lots of developments, some background story about Shaw and absolutely fun to watch!!
I think it's safe to say now that PoI is my favorite series currently on air! I love that show and can't wait for the next episode!!!!!
Oh, and let me say it clearly, Shaw (and Root) are excellent additions to the show for sure ... it just gets better and better!!!

You just gave me a good idea, to write my post as I am watching the show!
Not easy, but that way I dont have to rely on my memory!
I had already seen the carter scene thanks to your preview, but it was still good the 2nd time.

so Root should be nice to her! ......... well sure she starts out with a electric shock !!
thats nice isnt it??? 
Now even cooler,
1.the machine has given root a mission!
2. it isnt easy as it requires shaw to complete it!
3. this is the first actual mission from the machine, not a number thing
4.it will give us some idea about what the machine is thinking? 
5. with the way root feels about the machine, how happy do you think she is to be working for it? 
And to be the only one it actually talks to, and gets the special missions.
So the next show will be awesome.

Yeah, now it makes sense ... it's probably a tribute to the Russian girl and her conversations with Shaw. Or/and it may be refering to Shaw's kind of job interview, when she asks Finch if she's fired and he - quite the opposite - says she finally got the job.

1) Well, it is nice compared to what Root did in the past, no torture ... no kill shot ... so it might be the beginning of a great friendship ...

Yes it won the hour, and I think up from the last show? 2.1 to 2.2
The 13 mil viewers is good, the demo is the only thing that was kinda low.
However we are only 3/10 below ncis LA and almost as many viewers so we compare good to that show.

Thanks for the info, on the word,, and on shaw getting the job, I think finch meant she finally showed she "cared", she showed her human side a little. It was a good ep for shaw's character development and that was much needed!
The kid thought she was a robot , and in a way she had become a robot.

Well, better late than never ... Here are the official promo pics for ep 3x05:

"Razgover" 3.05 Reshow on 4-14-14 Didn't see it the first time around and it answered a couple questions.
"Officer, I'd like to report a kidnapping!" John Reese tells Patrick Simmons when they meet for the exchange. Simmons put up a good fight with Reese. If Reese only knew, he could have taken out Simmons there and later it would have saved Carter.

We see back in 1993 how Sameen Shaw became alone and how she had little emotion, even when her Military father was killed in a car accident. Nice of Firefighter Joseph Kent, to console her.

Harold Finch got the hidden tapes in the telephone booth was a interesting hiding place. Glad they didn't have to give them away. Thought the fake nitro on Tremors arm was funny.

I thought when Shaw went to Vadim Loginov's and saw the drugs that he would he a problem later. Shaw later had to get some answers from him. He had bath salts and they made a nice explosion in factory at end. Shaw had library bugged.

Shaw and the number, 10 year old Genrika Zhirova made a nice team. But Shaw got hurt when the Russians led by Tremors hit her and took kid. She later took out the driver of the car and took blood from Peter Yogorov.

Thought Carter sneaking off all the time would make Laskey suspicious. I knew when Officer Mike Laskey had Joss Carter meet him at the bar something was up. He got on her case telling her she should know her place. She uses his gun to shoot bartender/cop Jerry in self defense. I wondered how she got him to later help her. She now had evidence on Laskey. But Reese and Finch know about her pursuit of HR.

Root tazing Shaw in her sleep was not a good ending. No Lionel Fusco, and lots of Detective Raymond Terney. And some Bear too.

did you miss this show back in oct?
I forget it after a few weeks but I remember this one was good with the smart kid.
I liked it when she made show in the window.
