This show has a weak cast, so hope the story is good.
I like a few of the actors but just about 3.
I figure some will get killed off.
The guy cliff curtis, is I think going to have a role like Rick, and I just dont see him as a good lead
for the show. I am pretty sure I will tire of him soon, and no hope of him dying.

Ok 1st ep was ok, I think 1st 5 will be the slow outbreak, and finale will
maybe have it as the full on outbreak.
S-2 will wind it down to places like atlanta being a shelter, and S-3
even smaller pockets of survivors.

Or they may go even slower, to keep it different from WD.

It looked like the mom got bit by cal ??

anyway it is ok so far.

ok checked in slow mo and he did bite her arm, but dont know if it went thru her coat sleeve.
Hope it didnt as she was one of the ones I liked. if bit she wont be around long.
Also I guess the virus is now in everyone so when anyone dies they turn.

I imagine his gf died of overdose and turned, the guy at the wreck died and turned.

The govt is suppressing it.

Maybe I'll give it a try later tonight. But maybe I'll rather continue my Continuum rewatch (I'm at 3x01 by now).
The problem is, that Continuum is so much better than almost any other current show, that right now I don't feel much desire to start something like FTWD.
I even get kind of angry when I think about the fact, that Continuum will end soon, whereas comparatively dumb zombie stuff like TWD and FTWD is going on and on ... damn it ...

you might as well watch it since you do WD ?

It is different , many zombie fans did not like it and were complaining lol I guess
they didnt understand the premise.
There was 3 zombies in it which I thought was too much, depending on how they plan to
move forward.

They did spend a little too much time with the family and showing their life pre Z.

But I thought it was ok.
I guess I beat you with the ratings lol, I thought you would have already posted them.

So with what I read on imdb, I wonder if ratings will drop and how much by ep 6 ??


Seems many just want to see z's stabbed in the head.

I liked it, I like seeing how everything occurs, I think by the end of the season LA will fall completely. I don't think Mom was bitten. Even in TWD you come back regardless of being bitten, so it should be the same here. They will just be able to figure it out quicker. The producers said it will eventually catch up to TWD, so I don't think it will go that slow. Season 2 is getting 15 episodes.

So they will figure it out, but like them running up to a Z not knowing the danger was funny
and suspenseful.

Yea, it's cool knowing things they don't know yet. The drug addict son walks just like a Z, everytime he would get up I thought he had turned lol

Finally I found some time to take a look at FTWD 1x01.
It was kind of ok. Though I think a regular length of 4x minutes would have done it too, I wouldn't call it boring, because somehow they managed to create an underlying suspense.
What made me roll my eyes a bit, was the introduction of the main characters. Did they really have to use the full cliche of the troubled patchwork family?? I just wondered, why they forgot the obligatory gay story, but I guess they will deliver that soon enough ... ;-)
One thing did bother me. How did the zombie(s) just disappear from the church without causing attention outside? I mean, if they were maybe a new sub species, let's call them vampire zombies, they might be avoiding daylight and go out only at night to eat? ;-)
Anyways, though I think things will speed up next ep, I remember the pilot of TWD as much more exciting for me, but that may be, because a TV series with zombies was really something new in 2010.

I neither liked nor disliked him, I just didn't care, because somehow he didn't fit ... I don't know ... he's a goner anyways I guess, because he didn't show up to meet Alicia and didn't answer the phone.
But he reminded me of another aspect of U.S. TV shows, because since a while I've read articles, interviews and posts, which more and more make quite some deal of the right balance of skin colour and gender among the characters. So of course it made sense, she had a black boy friend.
I somehow get the feeling that as a showrunner and as the airing network you're pretty screwed, when you don't pay attention to some political correct premises like having at least one gay couple, at least one inter-racial relationship, a strong female character and the right balance of black, white, latin and asian characters on the show ...   and well, not to forget a good story also ...
