TYRANT - SEASON ONE

OK  wasn't sure about this show till I got to ep 8, now things are getting interesting, it just depends on what they do now, and where the show goes in S-2.
Only 10 eps in S-1 so 2 more to go.
S-1 has been good and they have a good cast and it is well done.

The younger son of a Middle East dictator is forced to return to his home country along with his American wife and children.
** He returns for __ and then his father dies , and his brother who is a violent animal takes power.
He tries to control and change his brother, who looks up to him and wants his brother back.
At first he just wants to go home to america, but the longer he stays the more he wants to fix his true homeland country.
What is he willing to do to do that? Can he go against his brother?

I told you, it's quite good and easily keeps me watching.



Obviously the next two eps will have a lot of suspension.
Any word of a second season? Or is it just meant to be a mini series?

Yeah, she smart ... and manipulative ... and very dangerous.
She doesn't care for the people, but only for her status and privileges and power of her dynasty, no matter how many lives it might cost.
She would be a good match for Jamal's uncle, the "gas" general.
Also she's not done with Barry/Bassam. She obiously never has forgiven, that he left without her and never came back for her, so that she had to take Jamal. Pretty explosive mixture, if you ask me ...

Yeah she and the uncle would be a good pair, but I think she liked jamal as she could control him.
She evidently had not given him sex in years.

About a S-2, your the ratings guy , see what you can find.
tv series.com is one that might have them, but my old browser does not work there.
It does not seem to be a miniseries, so if Ratings are ok , should be a S-2.
It started slow, but has been a good story, like you say it keeps you interested, and is now suspenseful.
if Jamal finds out about the coup , basam is in trouble.
I was thinking if he sends his family home, that might signal to jamal something is up, and he might prevent the family from leaving.

I like that it is original story, something that has not been done before, and the cast is pretty good.
Jamal's wife reminds me of the younger morenna baccarin.

They should be good enough for a S-2
The demo is consistent and the last uptick to .06 is good. same for viewers.
They wont announce anything till after it is over.
Turn got a S-2 with a .02 demo on Amc
Not a hit, but it is doing ok.
I am going to check IMDB boards and see if many are there.
I would not know about the show if you had not mentioned it.
So I imagine more would watch if they knew about it.

Will Barry succeed? How many more lives will be lost because of his actions "for the greater good"?

I have seen thru 8 I think , should be 10.
I keep thinking his brother will find out, jamal keeps saying how much he trusts barry and barry has his back, so when he finds out uh oh!!

Well saw # 10 and was disappointed in the direction they went.
I dont see where they can go from here, and it be realistic.
I had a feeling jamal would find out somehow, and he did, but story wise
I would have liked a successful coup and a changing barry for S-2.

I'm ok with the season finale ... as long as Tyrant gets renewed.
