Did you see the movie about the american football star who signed up during last iraq invasion, and was killed? you need to see that as it was a good movie, cant remember the name. They said he died a hero in a battle , and the truth was ( still no admission) that he was killed by friendly fire, which was also suspicious.
No, I don't know that movie or the story of that soldier. But there's still a difference between "friendly fire", which is considered to be unintentional and by mistake, whereas what I was talking about, is murdering with cold blood and deliberately the own men for the "greater good" (with the big problem, that those to define "greater good" conveniently are usually not the ones to lose their lives ...).
I know but if you watch the movie you would see that maybe the fire was our guys but not friendly. and I think the bosses of any operation would sacrifice their personnel to achieve a victory, and possibly even to save face. Soldiers are like pawns on chess board, they are expendable.

Yeah for me Brody is essential to the show, he is a great actor, and he has charisma. He and Carrie are both essential t the show being good.
if this attitude would be a regular one in reality (just murdering the own men for the "greater good")

Well not exactly a "good" night? Powerful episode, no flaws, no dull moments! think the guy shot the guy with brody because he knew he was cia, and was a liability if tortured. Despite Saul's rather unrealistic assassination plan, yeah, ep 3x10 was pretty exciting. As I expected it was good to have some field action. Looks like this is just the set-up for the two final episodes with Brody in Iran and Carrie also out in the field on a rescue mission. I agree, Jawadi probably shot the other soldier, who was with Brody, because he was afraid he might be a liability unter torture. Still sad to see him go that way. An the game between that senator and Saul might escalate. At least Saul denied to order a hit on his own man. Jeez, if this attitude would be a regular one in reality (just murdering the own men for the "greater good"), I'd wonder who would be dumb enough to join the elite forces or the secret services, seriously. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the final 2 of season 3, hoping they won't kill Brody, because the last two episodes showed that Brody still is important for the show.
