HBO has renewed WESTWORLD, DIVORCE and INSECURE for second seasons, it was announced today by Casey Bloys, president, HBO Programming. “I am thrilled to announce the pickup of our three fall series, all of which have distinctive, original voices,” said Bloys. “Critics and viewers alike have welcomed WESTWORLD and INSECURE, as well as the return of Sarah Jessica Parker to the network after 12 years with DIVORCE.” Season-to-date, WESTWORLD is averaging a gross audience of 11.7 million viewers, outperforming “Game of Thrones” and “True Detective” during similar times in their first seasons. DIVORCE and INSECURE are averaging 4.4 million and 3.2 million viewers, respectively, on par with other HBO half-hours like “VEEP” and “Girls.” Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, the drama series WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. WESTWORLD kicked off its ten-episode first season Oct. 2 on HBO, debuting hour-long episodes Sundays at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, both of whom executive produce and write, with Nolan directing, the series is based on the 1973 film “Westworld,” written by Michael Crichton. The cast for the first season of WESTWORLD includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins, Jr. Vanity Fair called the show “a rare kind of truly transporting television,” while People hailed it as “ingenious.” TIME said WESTWORLD is “Fall’s most promising drama,” and USA Today praised the “compelling stellar performances.” Season one credits: WESTWORLD was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, based on the film written by Michael Crichton. Production companies, Kilter Films, Bad Robot Productions and Jerry Weintraub Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Executive producers, Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, Bryan Burk. ...

by Nellie Andreeva March 23, 2017 10:30am Courtesy of HBO
We will be seeing more of Westworld host Angela next season. After recurring in Season 1 of the HBO drama, Talulah Riley has been promoted to a series regular in Season 2.
REX/Shutterstock Riley, who appeared in six of Season 1’s 10 episodes, will continue as Angela, the host whose beatific face welcomed guests to Westworld for decades. She will prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see. HBO’s sci-fi drama Westworld, a breakout in its first season, was renewed for a 10-episode second season, which likely will launch in early 2018. British actress Riley previously appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Inception, Pride And Prejudice, the St Trinian’s franchise and Richard Curtis’ The Boat That Rocked. She also starred in the British TV series Nearly Famous. Riley is repped by Gersh, UK’s United Artists and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Now I'm watching it ... having seen 4 eps so far, I'd say it's really good so far. Anyone else watching? I dont have them all yet, I do have 1 and 2 , but it didnt look too good so I stopped. I just got punisher S1 , didnt know that came out lol, so want to watch that. I started on imposters S2, on ep 3 of that, it is good but little slow developing. have to say I dont like her as a blond every ep. I also have defenders S1, vikings S5, homeland S7 House of Cards 2 seasons, halt and catch fire final season, and others to watch, but I might put westworld on priority if you will post some on each ep as you watch it, I will watch ep 1 then read what u post, then I will post. Also I noticed crystal reed from teen wolf got a regular role on Gotham S4, and I just got all those. I watched ep 2 where she is intro'd and it looked like a good role for her, and show is better now, but some is still outlandish like the penguin is overacting bigtime, but I will ignore that. She is also in a new horror movie called ghostland, but they say no ghosts in movie lol. it had good reviews on imdb. These are only 2 things she has done since quitting teen wolf. I have a bunch of shows to watch now, starting with the better stuff first. I started with BC Saul S3, which was great as usual, then the americans, saw that to the end, will post in that topic. then I fell into Fargo S3, when I saw mary eliz winstead was in it. it was good, enjoyed watching that, then saw they canceled that show weird, it won some emmys. I have to start on the punisher 1st , so depending on how good it is, will try to watch those first 2 of WW. I only have 1st 5 punishers right now.

| I already finished season 2. It was pretty good. I am glad that it has already been renewed, but it will probably be a long wait for season 3 ... BTW, damn it ... they cancelled Colony ... what a cliffhanger ... it's Dark Matter all over again ... sometimes watching TV show is really frustrating ... PS: How's it going, T5000 and Ez? Anyone else here? | |

PS: How's it going, T5000 and Ez? Anyone else here? Well I havent seen but part of ep 1 and 2, I was just surprised the black guy was alive, and no one knows he is a android! I dont see how it can be good though if the main girl and other hosts just want to kill humans in westworld >? I would have had them leave WW and get out into the population, which would make for better storylines. I think just a lot of killing in this show as it is. o and nudity and sex, sure there is some of that. I did watch colony most of ep 301, I wanted to see why the guy activated the tracker, and now I see he wants them to contact the resistance, then he will rat them out. I am going to watch it, but now I know no ending. That doesnt bother me as much anymore, in a way it is better than some endings these show runners come up with. This way we can finish it in our heads, and probably do a better job per our tastes. I didnt really care for Bates, or Americans endings. The Vikings, the show should have told the Ragnar story much slower, and then when that is done just end the show, and start a new one, Most of the original cast is gone now, I guess lagertha is still in some eps, and the guy who went to taken may come back as his show was canceled too. So many shows I watched and liked alot or so so, have all ended or been canceled. Colony is the latest one. I saw bob odenkirk on jimmy fallon , he said he was a nerd before his success on BB, and went to comic cons, and now he is there as one of the attractions. He is pretty good guy, and only 1 golden globe nomination, and his work on BB and BCS has been way above other actors that win emmys.
