just saw this and it was pretty good, some things I didnt expect, and only drag is
6 eps is just too short !!!!!!!!
It will just be getting interesting and it is gone for a year? maybe it is back in spring.

I think it is back after TWD ends, but yes very good. I think Travis is starting to realize the military isn't on their side. It will be interesting to see how they get Nick out of CAMP Death, you know they aren't going to try to help him.

 
Guys, did we watch the same ep?  
To be honest, this time I have to use the word "boring". The first at least 40 minutes of ep 1x04 I was waiting and waiting for something significant to happen, and then only the last few minutes provided some kind of excitement. But even this was only a minor one, because it was completely predictable, that the army wasn't just the good guys anymore.
Also the drug kid still is getting on my nerves, so he deserved to be slapped by his mother ... ;-)
By now, having seen 4 eps, I'm sure, that FTWD is far from being a match for TWD. I for one doubt that they actually can save the season for me with only two eps left.

I didn't mind the slow pace because we know the world they are building too, so I like seeing how they are still trying to hold onto their humanity and stay civilized, but I could also see how you could be bored with it. I would like to see Drug kid die by the end of the season, but I doubt he will. I think the ex wife will probably die.

Also the drug kid still is getting on my nerves, so he deserved to be slapped by his mother .....
yeah he did, and you should be happy she caught him and did that !

ONe thing is, they have not made any of these characters likable.
Only the spanish guy is sort of likable.
I dont know if they know they did this , or they did it on purpose?
So I will tell you I dont like any of the characters at this point.

Well sort of the spanish woman who is sort of a nurse and went with them, and the older S guy.
But not much in the way of likability, but I know or am fairly sure that will change
as they change.

I just like the story and seeing it all unfold, and like
1.who is signaling from the other house?
2. What are these military guys fencing off this one area while killing all around?
3. Did they take the people just to kill or maybe experiment with them?
on this I was thinking they would expose them and see if they turn, or let them get bit,
and then try a vaccine on them and see if it works, and I know they see them as
expendable, but I dont think they just intend to kill them.

So far the other drama has been lame, the girl pining over her BF, and tattooing her fricking arm,
and nick being a sleazy druggie, and mom and dad having sex in car, all of that is BS,
that should have not been in the show.
I do think it will get better as it goes along.

Now another thing people who watch this wanting zombie action, will not like it, it is about more than
The walking dead , more of a human based show, and Z's will come but later.

if I had to grade it , I would give it a 4 out of 10, it could have been done much better.
I think in a way is shows how maybe kirkman and others lucked out with WD and are not that
good at writing and creating a show.
Before they had a book to draw from, and that helped form their characters which were more likable.
Also that show had constant Z action from get go, and this one has no book, and lacks the Z action.

But even with all that, I see potential in this one, and there is enough to like for now.

you know when WD starts you will get the steady diet of stabbing Z's in the head and smashing thier
heads, and them Z's wandering and eating animals and crap.
To me that is the most boring part of WD .
I like the human element, the human villains are by far more interesting than the stupid Z's

And in this show we have human villains already.
They just need to make the characters more likable !!!!!!!!!
I find it amazing kirkman has made millions writing , and then he writes these characters !

Well, did you see the ep until the very end?
Because the question now only might be "who was signaling" and actually it doesn't matter anymore ... now that it has served its purpose ... obviously whoever had been signaling was probably wiped out by the military already.

ok so the dad told them about his kid seeing the light, and they went and killed them?
That doesnt really make sense, why kill healthy people?
why would they need to go kill them? what is their endgame?

I think we will find out before the end of the season. I think they may be experimenting with the people that they took.
