| Did you read about this? That's quite some news ... But I'm not sure, if it's worthwile to binge watch them now just to go on a 4 week hiatus then ... On the other hand, since I don't know the books, the danger of stumbling across severe spoilers would be pretty high for the next weeks ... | |

| Having read the books, I can resist the urge to watch them. HBO has to be disappointed, they put a lot of work into cutting back on the piracy | |

2) HBO has to be disappointed, they put a lot of work into cutting back on the piracy 1) I see, in this case you are pretty safe from being spoiled that much. 2) Officially they have to be disapointed, yes, but I don't think it will hurt them seriously. Who ever would watch the leaked eps probably already has an HBO subscription (or one of the cooperating pay TV channels all over the world, like me with Sky Germany http://www.sky.de/web/cms/de/game-of-thrones-staffel-5.jsp) and might just lack the patience to wait for each ep, or wouldn't have cared to watch legally anyways. I just can't imagine anyone, who hasn't subscribed until yesterday, would have today and gave up the plan in the last second only because of the leak. Additionally, it wouldn't solve the problem that it's only the first 4 eps and I'm also thinking that quite a few would mind the lower quality in resolution and rather watch it in full HD resolution. I for one do appreciate that the networks more and more tend to release new shows almost without or only with little delay on cooperating pay TV channels here via Sky Germany, so because of my subscription I wouldn't have a bad conscience, when downloading more or less appears like another form of recording. Last but not least I tend to buy the DVD or Bluray boxes of my favorite shows, just to deliberately support the good work. The thing here only is, that I meanwhile don't buy season after season, but rather wait for the complete box sets after a show ends.

| I don't know if they are all subscribers or not, if you could illegally download them then why waste your money on a subscription, I still think this will be the most pirated show again | |

You are basically right, what I wanted to say is, that one's general decision whether to watch legally or not, probably has been made already and in by far the most cases wouldn't be changed only by the actual leak now, so it would just be downloading these 4 together instead of downloading week by week. The bigger problem imho is that some idiots would watch and don't care to spoil others, who play by the rules and pay for the content.
