Holy moly ...!!!
Ep 3x11 was fantastic!! It's obvious, that the showrunners do have a bigger plan. I love that show. It's one of the best sci-fi shows I can remember, and definitely better than almost any current shows of the last years.
A lot of things fall into place and do make sense ...
I can't wait for the final two eps of season 3 now ...     

Well all that happened is they realized that with multiple timelines , they cannot change the future they come from, and since keira 2 and alex 2 jumped into this timeline it became contaminated.
But here is one issue I have , keira 1 was in this timeline , so is this the orignal timeline we started watching, or is it a # 3.
So right now changing the future is sort of pointless, but you can guide things so the future of this timeline does not turn out badly, which is sort of hard to do .

this could be some sort of reboot to the series.

I might add that corporations etc are still the same regardless of what timeline so travis and gang still could have a purpose.

2) No, it's not what usually is called roboot, when they want to change the direction of a show to "repair" and save a show.
With Continuum it's by design part of the story.
