FROM VIGILANTE TO HERO - Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell) who left Starling City after The Undertaking. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought - Isabel Rochev (guest star Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira (Susanna Thompson) in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow's absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the District Attorney's office to take down the vigilante. Meanwhile, flashbacks to the island show Slade (Manu Bennett), Shado (guest star Celina Jade) and Oliver in a desperate situation.
John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim (#201).

Sounds and looks like a lot of fun ...

Ok Saw the show late last nite. I had a hard time getting it!
It was very good, covered all the bases, and seemed like a long show.
The Name issue is still not taken care of , but at the end he islooking at the ARRow so he either chooses Arrow
or Green Arrow, and he has decided to be more of a hero than a vigilante.

Summer was only in 2 parts, one at the First where they meet briefly then later at the meeting then at the end.
She did pretty good, but I think here character will be more than a business woman later on.

He did save summer, during the attack , but she did not appreciate that.
Overall a good first episode to Introduce the players and theme of S-2.
Including the silent blonde at the end who saved harper.

no summer, it seems to focus on the odd blonde chick in black vinyl LOL
Right now this is the one type of character I did not want to see on the show.
Just some super chick out of the blue.
They should intro the person first then the other side of them in costume.

2) The season opener was fun to watch, just how I expected it regarding my experience from season 1.
Arrow is not a show with a deeper background like PoI or Continuum, but a nicely entertaining show. That's what I expect from it and they delivered!
One thing still I can't help about ... Laurel ... again her facial expressions seem to be kind of mask-like frozen ... could it actually be that she was a bit too often at botox parties?
But ok, the Felicity scenes made more than up for that.   She really always steals the show!
My other favorites are Diggle, Slade and Shado. Let's hope Slade and Shado will appear not only in some island flashbacks, but also in Starling city now!
And don't let Slade turn into a villain!!

3) Didn't know that there even was a name issue ... LOL
Hood, Arrow, Green Arrow, Archer, Dark Archer ... whatever ... I don't care. But ok, I also don't know the comics at all, so no wonder ...

4) Well, Summer had only little screen time, but she did her role convincing. But I expected nothing less.
The funny thing is that obviously you as a great fan of her always seem to have not that much confidence in her acting skills any longer ... you are always almost worried that she could disappoint?!
Have more faith!
I for one was disappointed from her acting actually only once, in "The Cape". But that probably was due to the badly written and developped role.

It's just "China White" (The Triads!) played by the hot Kelly Hu, which we already know from season one!
I like it a lot when she's back, hopefully more often than in season one!
BTW, instead of constantly introducing many new characters for only one or two eps, they should better bring back also The Huntress instead!

not natural or down to earth, but some of this comes from th network and showrunner to jazz the girls up more than is needed.

..........me too, and in 4400 she was not that good.

I found out during Tscc she had no acting school training, she was not a child-teen actress, she has not studied acting at all.
the role of River and TSCC ( not counting AFP) did not require any great degree of normal acting skills.
So when she takes on a normal role I do worry that she can do it well.
Also I thought about it, and she is coming into a show filled with experienced good actors, who all know each other for a year now and are a tight family group.
So to be a new actor coming in on S-2 would not be easy.

They cannot right now unless they use another actress.
That girl is now on the new Dracula show on NBC friday nite with Grimm.
It is a big part of why I will give that show a try.

1) Yes, just posted as image.

2) Copy and paste. Other than about 2 weeks ago this time it worked fine without messing up the columns.
