Well 609 wasnt very good ?
To me the directing was amatuerish.
The writing was also pretty lame.

When the woman and her kid got eaten I thought maybe it was a dream or something, it just seemed
kinda weird and didnt make much sense.

Then they all go conan and wipe them out ?

The Z's just walk into fire??

I thought it was the best episode in a long time. Most of those scenes came directly from the comic. The Z's were attracted to the light of the fire, not the first time they have shown that.

Ep 6x09 was far better than the first 8 of this season, though this wasn't a very difficult task ... ;-)
Using the bazooka on Negan's guys was the logical thing and the deaths in Alexandria and Carl's injury were expected and already spoiled over the net for a long time by now, so nothing really exciting or surprising ... TWD business as usual ...
But to be honest, team Rick going berserk and slaughtering the zombies that easily was totally over the top and even the filming seemed unwillingly ridiculous at least to me. Maybe I'm also bored from the endless zombie slashing ...
