ok I saw S-1 so let me know when 2 starts.
After all I think it's the significantly better show compared to "Vikings". yes in many ways it was, I think vikings has the more charismatic actors, but I thought the costumes and hair was more realistic, and they didnt go ape with the tattoo's
The only thing is Vikings S1 was also pretty good, then hirst went nuts. So lets see how this show changes, also didnt really like the fact they killed off so many, like the queen and his buddy.
And it's renewed for a second season already!....good deal!

BBC America With shooting just begun on the second season of historical drama The Last Kingdom, Netflix has joined the series as co-producer and will air it next year in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Japan, Spain and Portugal. BBC America, which broadcast the first season Stateside in 2015, is no longer involved. Netflix will add S1 to the U.S. library this year. From Downton Abbey producer Carnival Films, the fantasy epic goes out in the UK on BBC Two. Based on bestselling book series, The Saxon Stories, by Bernard Cornwell, The Last Kingdom is adapted by Stephen Butchard. The first eight-part season averaged 2.7M viewers on BBC Two and picked up a Best Drama Series nomination from the Royal Television Society. The stories focus on Uhtred (American Horror Story‘s Alexander Dreymon), a warrior and outsider on a fierce mission to reclaim his birthright; while re-telling the history of King Alfred the Great and his desire to unite the many separate kingdoms into what would become England.
It shouldn't hurt when Netflix is interested ...

BTW, The Last Kingdom S2 has already started! So here's the recap for S1 and a trailer for S2:
The first two eps of S2 have been aired by now. And they were good. Like with S1 for me it's clearly better than "Vikings"!

Ok, I've seen eps 2x03 and 2x04 now. They were very good. Way better than Vikings! What happened only in these last two eps, would have taken at least 10 eps by Vikings ... I really enjoy "The Last Kingdom", so here's the preview for ep 1x05:
