Lamest TWD season ever!
After I had finished the ep, I just sat there and couldn't believe it ... but I realized, as bad as it was, the "great mid-season finale" was a fitting and logical outcome for how they decided to run the whole sixth season so far ...
Full of fillers and pseudo-meaningful, but actually just boring pep-talks, dragging and dragging it out with cliffhanger after cliffhanger without almost any progress, combined with stupid actions to simply increase the drama.
Best example, how they ruined Morgan ... but not only him, h­ell, actually he was right, that in the light of the zombie invasion it could and should have waited, but no, Carol acted exactly as stupid and stubborn, when she had to go for the wolve instead on concentrating, how to get away from the zombie horde, what a crap!!
The whole thing just feels like they love to mess around with the audience knowing most of them will always just hope for the next ep to be the "great one", like some comments I read ... "yeah, but the second half of the season and its premiere ep will be awesome" ... "Negan will top everything" ... bla bla
BTW, if this "covering in zombie guts" works so well, why didn't they just use this (not with babies or children involved!) to get beyond the horde at the gates and lure them away again, as Rick said he could have, when he had saved Spencer last ep??? And it's really annoying me by now, how strong and fast those zombies still walk considering how long they have been rotting (should be at least more than 2 years since the beginning of the zombie apocalypse??). And why didn't Abraham just pull out his bazooka to clear things with that boring s­hit talking "Negan" gang member?? Yeah, I know, we're not supposed to ask such questions and doubt the awesomeness of the writers ...

Right now, I'm considering to drop the show just out of spite, because probably they will continue with that style of running the show as long as the ratings are that great ... this way they easily can reach 15 or more seasons ... So here's how it might continue in February to quote Carrigon over there at SpoilerTV:

Prologue to the Next Chapter of The Walking Dead
looks like, we're getting only Daryl's group for the next ep.  Then who knows, maybe throw in an ep dedicated to Glenn's pizza delivery days, and another one dedicated to Gabriel's sermon days, and anything else they want to throw in until we finally get back to what's happening in Alexandria."

So finally I had at least something to laugh ... ;-)

Yes, very weak first half. The only bright side is knowing that Negan is coming, if he lives up to his comic counter part he will be awesome

About the gut disguise, having none on their heads and faces did not seem right, z's could smell their heads !!!!!!!!
and at end the boy starts saying mom, so I guess that alerts the z's ??
That kid is a weak loser, good job mom !
But they need the drama.

Carol I dont care for and it didnt make sense at the time, but I thought maybe her and morgan did not know the z's had got in ??

And then wolfman escapes lol , and he makes no sense either.

So my take on S-6 is not a very good story in general and it seemed to go nowhere, and I didnt like the back and forth or flashback stuff.

The best ep was the morgan past ep.

Also the people in alexandria were too dumb and in large part unlikable, and now I feel like they were there just to be killed off.
But it also makes rick and his gang look bad as They didnt help the people at all, and if anything ruined what they had, and helped get them
all killed sooner than what would have happened had they never let rick in.

I agree, this has been a very weak season,Hopefully the back half of the season picks up.
