Ok !! Tonight is the first ep of this show, I hope it is good.
Also curious about how it does in ratings, 1st show should be real good ratings wise.

Im curious to see what the feel of the show will be, I am looking forward to it.

Well I just saw it earlier, and it was very boring and lack luster till the end!
They basically show saul post BB at the begining, and they spent 7 min on that boring and useless
part, because people who had not seen BB would not understand it, and ones who did did not need that, so a wasted 7 min and a very bad start for a new show.
Then the next 30 min are spent on showing what a loser he is and how broke he is.

Then finally traces of saul come out and he starts tyring to make some money in a shady way.
but even that plan was not very good.

then enter Tuco from BB.
Also mike was in this one , but as a parking lot attendant???????

I think the show will be good , but I bet a lot of people turned off the tv and blew this show off.
I am shocked that they made such a boring pilot.
# 2 comes on monday so that is good, hopefully it gets going quickly and is much better.

Well, T5000, I think your review is too harsh.
Those first 7 minutes made sense and were ok for me, probably because I was a fan of Breaking Bad, but that's how it is.
And yes , the middle part of the ep was slow, but showing him how desperate he was looking for clients and that he was a loser, actually made me feel sorry for him (just think of his "office"! ), because he was really trying, and his brother was talking crap and no help at all either.
Finally the things got going, when he tried to fake a case with the help of those two guys and it all went wrong. That was fun to watch and even reminded me of Breaking Bad, because it's kind of similar, when Walter and Jessie started their meth business and first nothing went as planned, so they got into deeper and deeper shit ...
The cliffhanger was ok too, so I want so see more. I think, there's a good chance that this show will turn out to be really entertaining.

PS: BCS seems to get quite some attention, because the first 2 episodes are shown at the Berlinale in Berlin and Bob Odenkirk today even was on the morning show of the biggest German public TV channel:



PPS: I'm sure we'll see more of Mike and maybe how he ended up working for Gus ...

I am going to let tonight's record and then watch them both later in the week.

Bet AMC executives are glad they didn’t lose that Albuquerque lawyer’s number. Sunday night’s launch of Better Call Saul was the highest-rated series debut in cable history. The highly anticipated Breaking Bad prequel delivered 6.9 million viewers and a record-setting 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. That’s an enormous launch on a cable network where even hit shows tend to start modest and then gradally gather steam.

Of course, a show debuting after the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead is a bit like a network airing an episode of show after the Super Bowl, and Better Call Saul has plenty of viewer recognition from Breaking Bad. Ratings for tonight’s second episode should provide a stronger sense of the show’s true performance (no spoilers, but Monday’s hour contains a desert-set scene that’s easily the best sequence the show’s first few episodes). EW’s Dan Snierson has some scoop what Saul producers have planned this season and some discussion of that black-and-white opening flashforward scene.

The Walking Dead, meanwhile, had 15.6 million viewers and a 8.0 adults 18-49 rating – that’s down very slightly from last year’s midseason opener. The Walking Dead’s return ranks as the biggest adult-demo rating of any series this season. The episode was a surreal surprise that – as EW’s Dalton Ross put it – played like a poem. The AMC double-header may have had an impact on last night’s Grammy Awards, which fell to a six-year low. That’s also another hat tip to Saul – biggest cable adult demo debut ever and it was up against the Grammys!

BTW, did you know, that the first time I started to watch ep 1x01 of Breaking Bad, I fell asleep, the second time I was interupted and it took me several months to give it another try, so I almost never would have watched Breaking Bad ... and you know as how awesome I consider this show now ...
Maybe that's a good omen for Better Call Saul ...

ok guys glad the show did so good in the ratings. Have to see how it does for show # 2 though.

I saw ep 2 and it was much better, and I know it will get better as it goes along and he becomes
Saul.
At the end of the ep tuco"s friend gives him his # and says when you figure out your in the game
call me.
Tuco was crazy as ever and just like he was in BB.

I liked the opening sequence as well, I think it will be ok moving forward once they find there legs. I will continue watching, also, it's nice to be back in the BB world.
