"M.I.A." - Reese and Root's hunt for Shaw takes them to a small town in upstate New York where it becomes apparent that not everything is as idyllic as it seems. Also, Fusco teams with a former POI to tackle the newest number, on PERSON OF INTEREST, Tuesday, Feb. 3 (10:01-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

Fusco teams with a former POI........ who is that? doubt I remember them by name though.

I would like to see the girl who won the contest and went to work for S again.

S keeping shaw alive would be good bait to draw in Team M, and they are taking the bait.
I would think M should have some info on where she might be.

and now that we know she is leaving the show for a while, what happens when they find her??

I think they are talking about that young police officer Dani Silva (played by Adria Arjona) who was working undercover for I.A. at the police academy in episode 4x08 "Point of Origin", because for 4x13 she's listed again as recurring cast member.

Very difficult to say, but if the showrunners let her live or at least want to keep the possibility for her comeback open, they cannot have her found now, she'll have to stay M.I.A., exactly as the ep title says ... But if Sarah is away for maybe 2 years, everything could happen, even the show ending ...
Nevertheless I really hope PoI gets some more seasons , so Shaw - however - might return in season 6 ...

After what happened to those other Nautilus contest winners in ep 4x12, I really doubt that we will see her ever again.
Samaritan seems to have the bad habit of having its coders getting killed after they have served their purpose and done their jobs to avoid any traces or evidence ...

she wasnt  a coder, she was just a smart person. anyway  I hope she pops up in another ep.

I saw the show live, and Sameen is alive, and though the team does not find her , they show her, and whats his name has her.
It was the cop as you said and she is not very entertaining.
Some interesting stuff about what S was doing in the town, but otherwise a sort of boring ep.

What???
Boring? Seriously? Well, sorry, no offense, but this seems to be one of these cases, when I'm just wondering, if we saw the same show ...
For me it was a great episode, beginning with the highly interesting concept of Samaritan playing "Sim City" with a real town to study how to "govern" and manipulate its human subjects, having Reese and Root together on their mission and finally Fusco working with Silva, who was pretty entertaining imho, on a number.
Last but not least now we know Shaw is alive, but I guess it was the last scene with her for a long time due to Sarah's twin pregnancy. I'm just curious how they will explain her disappearance and not mentioning her from now on, though we now well know that Greer/Samaritan has her. Of course Greer has something in mind when he said to Shaw that he hoped she could get some rest after her gun shot wounds, because she would need her strength ...
And what's Root gonna do? Does her "Good-bye, Harold" really mean she's finally doubting her "devine" Machine and quits the team? I don't believe that yet. BTW, Amy Acker really did a great job playing the desperate and revengeful Root.
I only can repeat myself, PoI still is the best show currently on air ... huge thumbs up!!!!

LOL ok maybe it wasnt boring !  
I think watching it live sort of ruins it for me, the commercial breaks, and I miss little pieces .
But I thought they were a little overboard on the urge to find shaw.

At end Root says good bye so she intends to quit the team and the machine I guess.

What S was doing in the town was interesting.

I do think they could still have shaw do like 1 scene here and there, that would not require much effort,
and since she is locked up they could film it where she lives.
So she may still appear on the show again this season.
Root may go looking for her.

I would like to see root be more like she used to be , and even shaw was better early on.
They sort of turned them into female chuck norris's, which  gets old when done too much.
For example when root broke out of santitarium , that shoot out was well done, and up till then she didnt really use guns.
But as it went along she became less crafty and more shootem up .

Shaws character became set in a rut of tuff girl and that was overdone.

So her leaving for awhile could be good, and root could be about to change also.
Hopefully more like she used to be.

I watched the show again and it is better when viewing the edited show non stop.
Still a few things over the top like grabbing the mayor in daytime after a speech??

Roots terminator mode at end in factory

Shooting doctor in the knee, they just need to invest in some stun guns or rubber bullets!

Also it seems the M is doing nothing, and S is very active, I think maybe M is doing something and we just arent told, and it will surprise us later on?
but M is just as smart or should be smarter than S so I expected more from M this season.

POI must skew old ...over 49, 9 mill and only a 1.4 demo
Agent carter did a 1.3 with only 4 mill!

Shaw will end up being samaritan's actual avatar..as in her body will be controlled by samaritan. This is what was going on in the lab room in the last episode. Samaritan wasn't just studying people it was trying to find a way to directly control them.

Hm, interesting theory ... but why Shaw? The blonde agent called Martine who is already working for Samaritan would be much more perfect.
