DEATHSTROKE HITS OLIVER AT HOME - Oliver (Stephen Amell), Canary (Caity Lotz), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) return to the lair and find Slade (Manu Bennett) waiting for them. An epic battle breaks out and one member of Team Arrow is sent to the hospital. Thea (Willa Holland) hits her breaking point, but just as Oliver is about to reach her, Slade intervenes and Oliver is faced with a choice - his battle with Slade or his family. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) struggles with a new secret.

Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Geoff Johns and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Keto Shimizu (#219).

Well saw this and it was ok, isabel gets shot / killed by diggle, and then at end slade brings her back to life, so she will now be superpowered and a bad girl!!
Maybe she will kick sara's butt!
Thea acting like a idiot, but that is the writing.
I expected more from laurel , to confront ollie but she didnt.

At first I thought when summer was killed, that this was a lousy way to use her, but it has all been leading up to her becoming something else.

Slade was cool as usual even though a villain I like him, he make the show interesting.

1) I was a bit surprised about her being shot, because I already knew that she would become the "Ravager" character (whoever that might be ... I don't know the comics) from some photos with her from a shooting:

To be honest, that costume, especially the mask, looks pretty ridiculous to me.

Obviously she also isn't Slade's daughter, but was some playgirl of senior Queen, who's out for some kind of revenge for being left for his family.
Well, that background story .... 
So I guess I have to live with another stupid psycho villain besides Slade and Sebastian Blood.  
But ... do you think Isabel will survive season 2? I have my doubts ...


2) I hope not! Man, I really don't see, why you dislike Sara that much     ... she's pretty good as Black Canary and way more fun to watch than anything with Laurel, Thea and Roy ... why can't you give her some credit?  

3) Well, as I more than once have said, she could go on a long vacation, and I wouldn't miss the character ... writing or not. There are enough other characters, who should get more screen time instead (e.g. Diggle or Felicity).

4) The same as for Thea. Just send Laurel to a long rehab and give some other characters the screen time ...  

5) He may be kind of "cool", but I already made it clear, that I have quite a problem with the kind of forced (at least for me) turn into a psycho monster villain. And that probably won't change.
Anyways, when Olli planted that explosives on Slade's chest, why did he only use stun grenades?? Some C4 would have solved the problem once and for all, Mirakuru or not ... seriously, Ollie, when Slade is that dangerous, then take off the damn gloves ...   

But all in all I still enjoyed the episode. For what it is, good entertainment, Arrow is done pretty well.

BTW, did I miss the scenes from the first promo pics with Sara and Felicity?
Or were they cut out in the actually aired episode?

Those first top 2 were not in the show, evidently cut out.
About sara, I just dont care for the character or the actress.
I also dont like them following the comic so much.
The way I see it you take the Arrow character and do your own story, dont let comics dictate who is in your story, or even their costumes.

I look at summers costume and that is really really really really bad!! it totally takes away the things that make a woman appealing.
She has 2 swords, but also a pistol??
See I dont like the name black canary either, just a stupid name (probably older comic character), but at least her costume is ok.
Even slades costume is a little lame, and he has 3 grenades on his chest, or they look like for a mortar gun round, what are those for and do you really want those on your chest??
This show is similar to smallville, good cast , but not so good writing and development.
Small ville had the worst writing of any show I have ever watched, I finally dropped it, and the sad thing is it went 10 years while other great shows dont get 2 years.

As for arrow, I dont think they step back and look at what they are doing, and ask who are we supposed to care about , and what are the goals of any characters.
I think they listen to a few outspoken people on twiitter or facebook to decide who is well liked and who isnt.

Now me I think team arrow was good with just diggle and felicity, but they just keep adding characters I dont like, which takes time away from those I did.
They need to keep it simple but instead just keep making it more complex

I don't care much for Sarah either, I thik she will die thias season which will lead to Laurel taking up the mantel of Black Canary, I don't thin Laurel confronted Oliver becasue of what her dad said, about what the Arrow must go through every day, I think she now loves him more than ever.

Well, having killed Sara and Laurel thus becoming Black (or whatever colour) Canary would be for me kind of a worst case scenario. Laurel's story and character have been too weak (almost boring) and messed up so far with the actress being part of the problem imho, that it even couldn't be saved with such a move. Caity as Sara did a much too good job to deserve to be just replaced by the Laurel character.

BTW, welcome to the forum, Ez!

Arrow: Andrew Kreisberg Talks About The Evolution Of Summer Glau’s Isabel Rochev

One of the first big “gets” that was announced for Arrow Season 2 was the casting of genre fan favorite Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) as Isabel Rochev, a character we learned a whole lot more about with tonight’s show. However, earlier this week at a press Q&A, Arrow Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg admitted to us that the plan for Isabel was not always fully planned out or set in stone.

“Isabel was the one thing that we were’t entirely sure about as we were developing the season,” Kreisberg admitted to reporters on Monday morning. “Truthfully, there was a very early iteration of this [season] where Sara started the season as Ravager, and then we switched over. We always had that paradigm of Slade having [that role] in the back of his mind. Obviously, we didn’t want to make her Rose and have that trajectory. Part of the reason Isabel disappeared for a while was because we still weren’t quite sure which way to go – whether she should be an ally or a villain. We had written it so that it could turn out either way; just, as we were coming down, the scene that I was picturing was Isabel, Slade and Sebastian in Oliver’s office – like the triumvirate of evil – and once that happened, there was no way she was not going to be Ravager.”
“It is funny, because when Summer took the part, I was up there on set with her, and she’s like ‘I’ve never done anything like this. I feel much better if I’m kicking somebody!’ And I’m just like ‘You’re so good; you should give yourself more credit! We wanted you because you are a good actress and you feel amazing in this part, not because you can kick ass.’ And then I got to call her and say ‘Hey. We changed our minds. You get to kick ass.’ In 18, when she does [kick ass], it’s like ‘oh yeah’,” Kreisberg enthused.

“One of the things we’re most proud of with the show is the casting – obviously the regulars are amazing, but I feel like our guest cast, between Caity Lotz, and Katrina Law, and Kevin Alejandro, and Summer… the show is constantly populated with these great people who are also bringing with them their baggage. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean it in a good way,” Andrew continued. “As soon as you see Katrina Law, you’re like ‘Oh yeah! I should be afraid of her, because she’s from Spartacus’!” As such, Andrew knew right away that the audience would take to Summer kicking ass, considering her previous on-screen experience doing that on several other shows. “It worked out really well, and now that she’s got the evil juice in her, as we call it in the writers’ room, it’s amazing,” he said.

What’s next for Summer Glau and Isabel? Stay tuned …

I think she is awesome in the role, but I will always think of her as River from Firefly.

Yeah Welcome EZ, I doubt Laurel will become the canary , they gave the background for that to sara, by being in the league of assassins, which is weird how she got off the island and then wound up with the LOA!! How did that happen??

Laurel has the role that was written for her , which has turned out to not be a good one, like thea, they have written both
as not so likable, and that is the writers/show runners fault.
I think your right, now she understands ollie and does love him more.
The sara Ollie romance is not good because there is no chemistry there, and sara is not a good person.

Felicity did not like hearing about Iris and barry.

I hope we see Barry again this season before the Pilot for Flash.
