Brief Synopsis
Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is something of a 19th-century–style, Old West lawman living in modern times, whose unconventional enforcement of justice makes him a target of criminals as well as his U.S. Marshals Service bosses. As a result of his controversial but "justified" quick-draw shooting of mob hitman Tommy Bucks in Miami, Givens is re-assigned from Miami to Kentucky. The Lexington, Kentucky Marshals office's jurisdiction includes Harlan County (a hopelessly impoverished, backwoods coal-mining community in southeastern Kentucky), in which Raylan grew up and thought he had escaped for good in his youth.
This show
Justified has received widespread critical acclaim throughout all four seasons, particularly for its acting, directing, art direction, and writing, as well as for Olyphant's lead performance.
Justified has been nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards as of 2012, with two wins, for Margo Martindale's performance as Mags Bennett and Jeremy Davies' performance as Dickie Bennett...(both of these were in S-3 which was very good)
However the character that has enthralled me is
Boyd Crowder ,who has a unique way of speaking , and has had a unique character. He is a guy who is on the line between good and evil, sometimes he is good and sometimes he is bad.
I started watching after S-4 had aired and got to See all 4 season rather quickly.
When the show first starts Raylan is a quick draw Marshall , but that fades after you get into S-1 and rarely resurfaces.
He is sort of like a Dirty Harry, he doesnt play by conventional rules, but does not like to get too far out of the boundaries.
Definitely not a by the book cop.
The show runner and lead actor have decided to end the show at end of S-6, S-5 has just started, so the show will get wrapped up properly.
