The early years of Alfred Hitchcock's famed Psycho, as widow Norma Bates and her shy teenage son Norman seek a fresh start in a coastal town filled with macabre secrets.

My summary: The show starts off showing the bates, and  Normans father dead, they imply it was Norman who killed him.
Later on they imply it was Norma.
So She gets a life insurance settlement and leaves town and buys this motel. Later she finds out the HWY is going to be redirected away from the motel, which devalues it.
The town itself has corrupt police, and a slave trade in foreign girls, and weed dealers.
Norman falls in love with a girl at school, she winds up making love to him, and then blows him off, which  fills Norman with rage.
He makes a pet of a stray dog , and gets attached to it, and then the dog gets killed, so he has it stuffed so he can keep it , which sets up him keeping his mom at some point?
His mother dotes on him in a unhealthy manner, she dominates him, but at same time leans on him , and loves him, and is always saying she needs him .
The actors are very good, and the acting and writing are very good in S-1, and I hope S-2 is also as good.
the Juy playing Norman is very likable, you cant help but root for him, and everything seems to work against his being happy, or anything turning out good.
there is also a girl who loves Norman, but he see her as just a friend.
and he has a brother, and the girl he loved fallas for his brother so  sparks fly.
All I can say is S-1 was compelling to watch and I eagerly awaited each new episode.
