| 'well this ep started off powerful but odd, and cold, with them dumping emma's body, and then she was naked ! that was odd part. I thought they would send barry pictures but guess not. The ep was slow with some good drama, and some not so good. It was tainted by more homosexual scenes with the 2 guys kissing and having sex. Makes me wonder if showrunners are homosexual themselves. The girl from the americans show, has a awful character in this, cant believe they stuck her in that role. Then the caliphate I think killed the kids, then makes everyone think the bombs did it , that is pretty clever. Plus I think they knew how to make them think the guy they were looking for was there when he wasnt. I have to say I would not want to just kill him quick like that, I would want to capture them alive. and make them suffer. But I think i would be smarter than to take my kids to a country like that. | |

emma's body, and then she was naked ! that was odd part. ... I wouldn't call it just odd, for me it fealt extremely disturbing and I wasn't prepared for this right at the beginning of this ep, so I was kind of shocked. Even Ihab seemed to feel uncomfortable, when the Caliphate leader ordered to remove the cloth from the body ...

Makes me wonder if showrunners are homosexual themselves. ... I agree, it's tiring to get lectured in almost every show these days with those over-correct LGBT messages. I wouldn't mind, if it occured once in a while, but by now it feels like it has become an obligatory part of almost every show and that's quite annoying. In this case the could have made Bassam's son just fall in love with a Muslim girl of Abbudin and they would have had easily the same amount of drama to tell around that ... but who are we to tell that to the almighty American entertainment industry ... for them we'd probably be just a bunch of old-fashioned hillbillies, who just haven't arrived in the brave new modern world yet ...

I have to say I would not want to just kill him quick like that, I would want to capture them alive. and make them suffer. ... No, I'm pretty sure, they the Caliphate did not kill all the kids by themselves. It were the bombs. But of course they deliberately were hiding first in a hospital and then amongst the school kids, so they either could be safe or use the collateral damage to their advance in their propaganda. The American officer even warned Bassam, that there were a lot of tunnels under that buildings, so they could not be sure, if the Caliphate leader and Ihab were still there. Actually Tyrant summed up the mess around the war on islamistic terror pretty well. For us and from a distance the terrorists are disgusting cowards hiding amongst children and civilians. But for them it makes sense, because in open field battle they never would stand the slightest chance against the Western fire power. So either they cannot be attacked, because there would be too many civilian casualties, or if the attack happens, they could use the hate caused by the "collateral damage" to recruit more people for their sick cause. The problem is that obviously the families of the victims of such "collateral damage" don't ask why the terrorists hide amongst civilians and childrens (they probably also would be killed for asking that questions anyways) and blame them for their loss too. They just see, who dropped the bombs finally, and want revenge ... As I said, this has become a total mess by now ... and no one seems to have a good idea for some kind of solution ... damn it ...

But I think i would be smarter than to take my kids to a country like that. Well, of course by now we know better. But at the very beginning of Tyrant it all started with a harmless visit of Bassam's home country, which was not a democracy, but seemed at least kind of stable by then. I guess, five years ago no one would have actually feared for his life during a visit to Syria, but look how things have gone out of hand there by now ... And after all things seemed to become better in Abbudin. Bassam just was incredibly naive by not killing Ihab and then letting him go (well actually to be fair, he wanted him locked up in another Arab country, but the transfer went wrong), thinking "reasonable" in our terms like an American (or European) apparentely often doesn't work out, when it comes to Arabs and their religious and cultural beliefs, which for me sometimes sadly seem to be stuck still somewhere in the Middle Ages ...

| ok now about the kids, I will watch it again to check, but he met with some kids, And he said something like they will serve their country nicely. They focus on one girl about 12. Then when they show the bodys, that girl is one of the victims.
So to me they suckered them into attacking the camp, and the top guys they thought were there were not there, they made it look like they were, and they killed the kids, and then took pictures of the body's or they could have put them in a building they knew would be hit.
If I am right it was pretty clever , cruel but clever.
