| Carol was just playing, I figured it would be something like that. Pretty good episode, I like seeing Maggie and Carol rescue themselves. | |

Well, it was full of suspense and intense to watch. But when I think about it, it also was just a filler ep. After ep 6x13 we are exactly where we've already been after ep 6x12 without the little complication of Carol and Maggie being kidnapped. And since Carol and Maggie survive (well, to a big part thx to the as usual stupid behaviour of their kidnappers) and all of the kidnappers had to die, it also didn't contribute to the story in a lasting way. Actually they shouldn't have time for a filler ep, because there are only 3(!) eps left this season ... I guess, the showrunners wanted to use this ep mainly to show us Carol's inner struggle of what she's become or whatever ... but that's exactly the part, where I had my beef with this episode and where I disagree with you, because for me Carol's weird behaviour was meant to be real, not just fooling the Saviors. So after all now suddenly Super Carol has to take some midlife or moral crisis?? Seriously?? Maybe she spent too much time with Morgan? I just think this is unnecessary and feels kind of artificial for me. Whatever, TWD stays TWD, so we won't see Negan before 6x16 ... I expected to see at least something of him by now, but as always they are sqeezing as much episodes out of the limited story as possible ... I don't like this slow burn, but I have to admit, on a commercial point of view, it's even clever ... | |
