| ok one thing I dont like is the gay son, and he gets way too much time! Why they put this stuff in a show like this is beyond me. Anyway the main interesting thing dealt with main guy and his stay in the village.
For a struggling show in ratings, the writers show runner have come up with a weak S-2.

2) Anyway the main interesting thing dealt with main guy and his stay in the village. For a struggling show in ratings, the writers show runner have come up with a weak S-2. 1) Well, that's not a specific problem of this show, but a general problem with the whole TV and movie industry. There seems to be an unwritten law, that every single TV show, no matter what's the plot about or where it may play, has to introduce at least one (better: more!) gay couple(s). Obviously they think they have to spread the political correct message by all means and at any occasion, because they assume that the "average" and dumb viewers desperately would need that kind of guidance and lecture ... I for one am getting more and more annoyed about this arrogant attitude of having to shove the message down the viewers' throats all the time ... actually this pushy way of "spreading the word" might achieve exactly the opposite of what they try to get ... 2) I wouldn't call the show weak. It's probably not a stellar show, but solid and easily interesting enough to keep me watching. Especially because of the background story, which seems not far away from the crappy real situation in the Middle East. Actually they keep it really up to date with ep 2x04 by bringing Ihab to Raqqa in Syria and introducing the Caliphate State (IS).

| 1. Well I think part of it is they want the gay demo and support, also think many gays are writers, or producers. The guys who do grimm are a gay couple. they do overdo it though, like in orphan black not 1 but 4 gays.
and yeah little early to judge the season.
