Summary:

yes I believe it is renewed already, not a big hit, but does ok.
I think it will get 5 seasons and end in the 5th.

The woman who plays norma has been nominated for emmy once or twice for this show, but hasnt won.
last year keri and norma lost to the woman from house of cards who doesnt really act at all.

I would say the acting on this show and the cast is what makes it good, more so than the actual story.

ok tscc read the first one and he says 20 more eps meaning 5 seasons and he has a definite end in mind.

This is one show where I am fairly sure I wont like the ending because they are following the movie and book.
So for me the journey is the better part.

Hey Tscc thanks for the news!
So it gets the full 5 seasons to tell the story!
that is smart if they own or share in dvd and syndication rights.
A Full story is worth more than just 3 seasons and no ending or a rushed ending.

now if only they keep Turn going too !

and yeah be nice if Tscc and Cont. would have got 5 seasons too.

With cont. I wonder if the channel that airs it in canada is a owner or part owner??
If not I can see why they dump it if ratings slump.
If they are part owner they should want it to be ended properly and not rushed.

This also applys to POI Cbs if part owner, should do 5 full seasons and end the story right, and it is worth
more in long run.

I think in future netflix will be the king, or the $ making format and shows that were canceled with no ending
or not allowed to finish properly will not be as valuable as ones that were done right and had the 5 seasons.

they need to start looking at what the show will make in the future , not just right now.

A show like Turn and the americans is timeless as they are period shows.
Other shows can be dated 20 years from now but those 2 will be the same.

Imagine if Tscc had done 5 full seasons, had a ending and now wind up on netflix, where people who never saw it could watch all 5 in short period.
I think it would be very popular

I also think cont. had the anti corporation theme, and that is really who advertises on the show.
So why would they want to advertise on a show that puts them in a bad light ?? lol
That is like skynet putting ads on Tscc !

Well, then Mr. Robot is doomed from the beginning as well ... or is the USA Network a Pay TV channel, who doesn't need advertisers?

no I did a post on this on 5-0 site ! where you asked about it.
Usa ch has ads, they all do except what used to be the movie channels, and they still are, they just have some tv shows
that are exclusive to them.
Like dexter was on showtime a movie channel so no ads
Banshee on cinemax no ads
hbo no ads
starz no ads

all the other cable channels have ads, just like free tv aka broadcast tv-networks CW ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX
They do all get a little $ from the cable companys, but not enough to pay for new programs.
The free networks are also on most cable systems too, but they dont get much , the least of any.
Then they have 2 tiers of ad channels, and the higher tier gets more than lower tier channels.

another difference is when a cable channel airs a show it often is a part or major owner so gets the money from dvd sales
netflix sales, and reruns on other channels which they call syndication.

now with USA ch , this isnt their first show, and I dont know if they are part owners or not, if so it would help a lot.

Like with continuum when it aired on syfy, syfy was not part owner, they just bought it or rented it to air, and if ratings are not good, they have to cut it loose.
If they had made the show or invested in it, then they could afford to air it looking at other $ they might make off it.
