|  Helix is an American science fiction thriller-drama television series that premiered on Syfy on January 10, 2014. The series follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who travel to a research facility in the Arctic to investigate a potential outbreak of disease. While there, they find themselves stuck in a life-or-death situation that could decide the future of humankind. The executive producers of Helix are Ronald D. Moore, Lynda Obst, Steven Maeda, and Cameron Porsandeh, with Maeda serving as day-to-day showrunner. The first season consisted of 13 episodes.On March 28, 2014, it was announced that the show was renewed for a 13-episode second season, slated for a premiere on January 16, 2015. | If anyone might be interested to catch up with season 1 before season 2 will start on January 16th, 2015 ...
Or did someone watch it too?
I watched Helix S1 last year and it imho it was much better then expected. It was full of suspension and rather creepy, somehow it even reminded me of the first Resident Evil movie (which by far was the best of those Resident Evil films).
After all it was nice that it got renewed and I'm looking forward to S2. | |

| Has some good cast , but I dont care for pathogen shows and I dont care for ronald D moore, he messed up on BSG and Caprica.
I watched the trailer, and subject material not my cup of Tea. | |

I watched the trailer, and subject material not my cup of Tea. Helix might have started as a "pathogen show", but it turns out to be more than that during season 1. Actually I can't say much more without revealing too much. And I don't know about BSG, because I haven't seen it, but Caprica imho was the very opposite to messed up, but an absolutely excellent and fascinating show, which sadly wasn't received well enough by a wider audience. | |
