That really felt like a feel good episode, so many great things happened. I gave 10/10. R+L=J confirmed, Walder Frey meets his end after tasting some Freypie, Jon is KITN, Cersei decimates KL just in time for Dany to roll in with her army. I can't find a single complaint with this episode!

Yeah, so the curtain for the final act has fallen ...
Though there were no real surprises left, I liked the season 6 finale pretty much too. The only thing I was kind of disappointed was how easily Cersei took out the Sparrow cult. But ok, they needed to get rid of that plot to focus on the final battle for the Iron Throne.
The best scenes for me were the ones with Danaerys and Tyrion, when she made him Hand of the Queen, and when they were sailing towards Kings Landing with the dragons above them ... a cool closing scene indeed! That was really great and reminded me, why Danaerys was my favorite for the Iron Throne from the very beginning.
Despite some temporary wayward paths and detours her story has hit the home stretch now. I think the best ending for the whole GoT story would be an alliance of her an Jon (the other remaining Targaryan) to first defeat the evil ones like Cersei and then to face the Night King ... hopefully with some kind of happy ending, as far as this is possible in GoT ... ;-)
It's only kind of annoying, that they saved up most of the good stuff for the last two eps only, and to have to wait now another year for the final season(s?) ... I already get angry when I read that they might drag it out for even two more years to another two seasons with only 6 or 7 episodes each, but I guess that's how business works ... squeeze ourt the very last drop of your golden goose ...

PS: Can it be that Sansa doesn't want the Kingdom of the North at all, because she actually likes the "pretty picture" of Littlefinger on the Iron Throne with her by his side (and maybe get rid of him later on)?? ;-)

No, I don't think Sansa trusts Littlefinger at all, I think he will dies next season, he didn't look pleased about Jon being named KITN. I think it ends with jon and Dany marrying and uniting the two kingdoms. I really don't hink Cersei will reign for long, Dany is coming with a navy, the Tyrells and army of Dorne, plus her Dothraki, and the unsullied, not to mention 3 dragons. Plus, Jaime looked pretty ticked at her in the end, he will blame her for Tommen's death. I honestly think in the end, Tyrion will be back with Sansa, in the North, and Jon and Dany will rule the south. We probably won't see the White Walkers invade until the end of next season, then spend the final season wrapping them up and the show.

Well, what's their relationship exactly? Is Dany Jon's aunt then? A marriage would feel pretty weird to be honest ... they should look for a better solution ... No way there's Sansa and Tyrion together again. Instead I'd almost say Dany and Tyrion should be a go! ;-)

And of course Sansa doesn't trust or love Littlefinger at all. But it might be, that after all what she's been trough, she's hardened up and developped own ambitions for power, so Littlefinger could be just a means to that end. But actually I don't hope that they send her down that road. I prefer her to stay one of the "good" characters and Jon's ally.
I think it's also pretty surprising, that for someone that well informed, Littlefinger doesn't seem to be aware by now that all the games for the Iron Throne are kindergarden compared to the White Walkers. He should have changed his priorities already. But well, maybe in the end he's just a prisoner of his own greed for power and can't look for the greater good.

Targaryens married brother to sister for hundreds of years, an aunt and a nephew is nothing compared to that. Littlefinger, and everyone in the south think Whitwalkers are fake, he doesn't believe Jon, him continuing to play the game is what will get him killed. Maybe I am being optimistic, but I don't think anymore Starks will die, so whatever he tries against Jon will backfire. The Starks are back with a vengeance!

Eh, I have read it before, I don't buy it, if everyone is a secret Targaryen, it kinda loses it's power. I think Jon is really Aemon Targaryen, true heir to the Iron Throne. Tyrion is Tywin's son, in the books it is mentioned many times that Tyrion is just as smart and cunning as Tywin. Someone tells Jaime that Tyrion is Tywin's true son, ie, he acts just like him.

Hey, Ez, that was well written and nice to read.
Looks like a good choice for you to become a journalist, because even from the little that I of course only can say, you obviously have talent to write.
Your predictions for season 7 sound reasonable, though I haven't read any of the books, so as a "only TV-show viewer" I'm not that deep into the GoT universe and history.
I just hope that in the end Dany, Tyrion and the Dragons will survive and ideally will rule the 7 Kindoms in a just way. To be honest compared to them almost any of the other characters is not that important for me. Now you might say, "Hey, it's GoT, there can't be such an happy ending", but I seriously think, after all the evil that has already happened in GoT, we deserve some payoff. And it's decisive for me, when it comes to watching the show again some time in the future. With a sad and depressing ending (like a final victory of the Night King, though this would be that daring, that only the thought of it already has some charm again Wink ), I wouldn't have much motivation to buy some Blu-ray box set and watch it ever again ...

I think the ending will be better sweet, but not sad. The dead won't win. I don't know if all of the dragons will survive, and either Dany or Jon will sacrifice themselves to win. The other will rule.
And thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it!
