A Norwegian king and Bjorn, who is accompanied by a new partner, will get welcomed to the Great Hall in Kattegat. King Aelle will end up arriving at Wessex for Christmas and will be unimpressed with the development of family relations. Meanwhile, in Paris, Rollo’s future is going to depend on whether he can win over his new bride, as a papal delegation arrives to arrange a divorce.

I am seriously about to drop this show, the dream sequence bs is killing me. I hate what they have done with the characters of Rollo and Floki, this used to be such a good show too.

I don't even know what to say to an episode like this ... completely wasted filler crap ... the extended episode order this season obviously was a huge mistake. They just get themselves lost with all that dream and nordic religious bullshit. And when I thought, finally they are switching to England and Paris, all we get is Rollo and Gisla copulating ... wow, this show is really close to getting crap.
The only thing, which might have saved the episode, the "Norway King", who obviously knew Aslaug from the past and wants to overthrow Ragnar ... just a damn cliffhanger ...

lol name one character that they have made better not worse !

Hirst is a awful show runner who due to good ratings thinks he is now a artistic genius !!!!!!

He is waiting for his emmy now.

As Tscc said the added eps, is going to mean more filler or more room for hirst to go nuts,
Do dream sequences etc.
Truth is my memory is so bad lol I dont remember any dream stuff from the ep.

What I found corny is rollo learned french in one episode, and now she is a nympho in love with him !!

I think watching this week by week is also bad, probably better to binge watch it.

you could then FF thru some of the crap you dont care for.

On the bright side there are no gay viking guys kissing yet !!

At least all the sex stuff is hetero, so I wont complain about that.

I watched it again , and didnt notice any dreams.

That's not what I meant. At that cabin Yidu gave him some "ancient Chinese medicine" (she also took some of it) and then we had to watch Ragnar on his drug trip for several minutes doing silly things. It was equally as bad as usually showing his hallucinations through his eyes like a movie ...
And they had several dream sequences in earlier episodes like Ragnar standing before the portal to Walhalla or even dead Athelstan appearing to him and Egbert ...

I think one problem is like many other shows, they have too many storylines and characters.
so then not enough time each ep is spent with any one of them.

That was the good thing about last kingdom, as it followed the one character all the time.

I think it would be better to have whole eps, dedicated to each storyline rather than mix them up in each ep.

But hirst is the genius so he knows best.
