Well, I have to admit, that ep 6x11 surprised me positively. Though it was a bit too convenient, that exactly when team Rick was in town, that guy had to deliver Negan's "message" and stabbed Gregory, it is an interesting twist that team Rick can be hired as mercenaries to deal with Negan's guys. Because death actually might be their best good to sell. And it leaves a lot of interesting questions to be asked ...
Is it really wise to seal the deal and bring Negan's attention on Alexandria without even knowing how much men and firepower they will face? By now Rick's core team consists only of a few left. How much more losses can they bare without falling apart as a group finally? Can they actually fully count in the Alexandrians as additional "soldiers"? Can they even convince them to do this? Right now it feels like a rushed and not well enough considered deal and decision with great risks ... but it's gonna be interesting how that might play out.
BTW, it's weird to see nothing of Carol and Morgan for the whole ep ... maybe they were supposed to stay behind with Carl to keep Alexandria safe. But one little scene about that would have been better than Abraham's recent lovey-dovey approaches ...
And why do all the leaders have to be at least weird like Gregory again or evil like the Governor etc. ... One normal guy please? Ok, Deanna was pretty ok, but not a guy ... ;-)
Anyways, ep 3x11 managed to make me curious again for the next one ...

It was the best ep of the season, but I agree on your points, I was disappointed in the way they wrote Gregory.

and Rick was way too confident, that his small band could take care of negan who he knows nothing about.

They would have to go there and spy on them a little to get idea on if they could, and how to proceed.
you dont just saddle up and go there macho man style.

Any ep without Carol is a good ep Laughing

Gregory and their cockiness are written the same way in the comic, this storyline is almost pulled from comics exactly as it is written.

Well if you read the comic, does that not ruin the show?

I havent and wouldnt read the comic now.
I prefer not to be spoiled or know whats going to happen, I used to do that
and then the shows were at times boring or not as good as when I know nothing.

I rarely even watch the previews at end of shows now.

much better if you dont know.

Yes and no, they alter some of the scenes, to where you recognize what is happening, but to different characters. (For instance, how Hershel died in the show was how Tyreese died in the comic) I have only read through the Negan storyline, so after that I won't know what is going to happen anymore.

So you stopped with the comic? good for you.

you can always go back and read those when the show ends, in 2077 !!!!! Shocked
